Crawlspace flooding in Lumberton,North Carolina
This crawlspace was flooded in Lumberton, North Carolina as a result of Hurricane Florence. By the time the water receded, it had been around 20 days before SERVPRO of Westminster was called out to the home. Notice the moisture physically present in the crawlspace even after all the time had passed.
This crawlspace was severely damaged and considered contaminated water due the amount of time sitting in the crawlspace. After removing the contaminated water, air movers and a dehumidifier were placed to properly dry out the crawlspace. In addition, anti-microbial was applied to the affected areas because water was standing or trapped for more than 72-hours. Anti-Microbial is used to prevent microbial growth on remaining structure materials.
